While we’re on the working class beers of yesteryear, here’s a vintage button from Pabst Blue Ribbon which has had a huge resugence as of late. I wonder if Schlitz is due for a comeback.

Apparently in 1982 Fleetwood Mac did a tour that was sponsored by The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous.

Part of an old Dr. Pepper marketing campaign. “Dr. Pepper time”, according to the campaign, was at 10, 2 and 4 o’clock.

This is either a poor man’s R2D2 or some other generic droid. Likely a promotional tie-in from one of the original Star Wars films.

The Pillsbury Doughboy was created by the Leo Burnett advertising agency’s copy writer Rudy Perz as he was sitting in his kitchen in 1962, under pressure to create an advertising campaign. Tanttila imagined a living dough boy popping out of a Pillsbury Crescent Rolls can. To distinguish the dough boy from the rolls, he gave it a scarf, a chef’s hat, two big blue eyes, a blush, and a soft, warm chuckle when poked in the stomach.

Archie first appeared in Pep Comics #22 in 1941. 70+ years later he’s still going strong.
